Product Overview
A Fuse is an safety device used to protect an electrical circuit from higher current. It has a strip of wire that melts and breaks an electric circuit when the current exceeds a desired level. Regular fuses are always connected in series with components to be protect from overcurrent, so when the fuse blows (opens) it will open the circuit and stop any current through the components. Regular fuses do not allow for any spike over the current rating of the fuse. A time delay fuse, sometimes known as an anti-surge or slow blow fuse, allows a surge in electricity for a short time before the fuse actually blows. This small-dimension fuse feature time delay characteristics ideally suited for the high inrush currents of control transformers, solenoids, and similar inductive loads. This fiberglass body time delay fuse is compatible to be used with GE's Discovery 750w GEM 3.-T and Discovery 750 3.0T Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) Systems.
